Organization Privacy Notice

This notice covers the records an Organization keeps about you when you join it through Vysya Setu. It applies together with the Privacy Policy, which covers your Account and Profile. The version of this notice is its last updated date: 2026-10-20.
What an Organization is
An Organization is a community body, such as an association or sabha, that uses Vysya Setu to run its membership and communications. Each Organization controls its own records and its own rules. Vysya Setu, operated by Navak Digital LLP, provides the platform and sets the privacy limits that every Organization must follow.
What an Organization holds about you

The Organization does not copy your name or photo into its own records. It shows your current Profile where you allow it. If you change your Profile, the change appears wherever the field remains visible.
What an Organization cannot do
- See your records in another Organization.
- See your phone number or sign-in details, unless you chose to share a phone or WhatsApp number as a Profile field.
- Use a title, location, or affiliation to gain access that its roles do not grant.
- Export its member list without a request that two Vysya Setu platform operators approve. The export is encrypted and expires. Each Organization may request three exports in any seven days.
Why the Organization uses it
To confirm who its members are, to publish official Announcements, to run Events and check people in, to keep its own history, and to meet its legal duties.
How long the Organization keeps it
Memberships, Member Records, official acts, and audit history are the Organization’s history. They are not removed by age. When your Membership ends, the Organization keeps the record of it. Vysya Setu removes shorter-lived records on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.
If you delete your Account, your Membership ends with the reason “account deleted”. The Organization keeps its history, but the record then points to an identifier that no longer leads to you. Words you wrote in Organization records, such as a Report explanation, stay as written. See Delete your account.
Your choices
- Choose who sees your Profile Card and who sees your contact details, and hide your native place or gotram. Membership in an Organization is not public by default.
- Leave an Organization at any time.
- Ask the Organization to correct its Member Record.
- Report a concern with an Organization inside the app.
- Ask Vysya Setu to act on a privacy request at privacy@vysyasetu.com.
Organization administrators
If you are the only administrator of an Organization and you delete your Account, the Organization enters administrator succession and Vysya Setu is alerted, so that the Organization can appoint a new administrator. You are warned before you confirm.
